My name is Adam Weismann, I’m the director at Clayworks.
We manufacture clay plasters A completely natural wall finish.
We’ve got a stand here at The Surface Design Show.

We get a lot of inspiration from Japanese finishes, especially traditional Japanese finishes from tea houses and clay finishes.
Our product is completely natural, it’s just clay and straw and sand.
We use natural pigments as well so with the stand we’re trying to create a little pastis outside of the busyness of the actual show.
we really want it to be as calming and as peaceful as possible.
So really what we’re all about is actually creating natural finishes and with the natural finishes comes peace and relaxation and that’s what we’re trying to get with the ambiance within the stand.
So really we wanted to focus on the lighting of the stand, the backlighting of the stand and also using natural materials.
We’ve used round Wood Timber we’ve used clay and we’ve used just a very simple canvas.
We try to keep it as simple as possible.
