Aryabhatta Research Institute (ARIES) is exhibited Observational Science Research at India International Trade Fair (IITF 2022).

My name is Ravindra Kumar Yadav and I’m here from ARIES, Nainital.
ARIES is basically the acronym for Aryabhata Research Institute of Observational Sciences.
ARIES is basically the acronym for Aryabhata Research Institute of Observational Sciences.

We do hardcore research in Astronomy, Astrophysics and Atmospheric sciences.

We have a telescope installed of 104cm at Manora Peak Campus in Nainital, which is productive till date and working for 50 years.

Our other campus is in Devasthal, which has a 1.3m telescope (called fast telescope),

3.6m telescope and an international liquid mirror telescope.

Liquid mirror telescope is a telescope which is not a traditional telescope,

you can watch only in zenith from this, meaning only above your head.

It is a type of survey telescope by which we continuously survey things closer to zenith.

And after continuous survey and data analysis we get to know many more things, which can be followed up by different telescopes thereafter.

3.6m telescope, which is Asia’s largest telescope, and is stair able.

You can stair that up anywhere and you can watch any point in the sky.

In which we observe the deep sky object.
