Hello my name is Tobias Krichler. I’m currently working on our project DECOMDA.
And we are located in Germany approximately 200 kilometers south of Berlin.

We develop a decentralized communication system for every area where you don’t have any proper communication,
so no 5G, no 4G, no Wi-Fi or anything.
So typically in the mining industry.

For this, we develop two different devices.
The first one is our data logger where we can include any kind of sensor.

So in that case you can see a radiation sensor together with a battery because our partner does not even have a power supply where he would like to measure his radiation.
But now how does it transport his data for this?
We do have our second device, our data collector.

The data collector will always communicate with our data logger as soon both devices are close to each other.
Close means for us, approximately 60 meters in narrow narrow veins where we don’t have like… where you can only go through by foot,
or approximately 150 meters where the mobile machinery can go through.
Our data collector is always installed on a mobile machinery or let’s say on a person who has to go through the mine.
And so the data collector will fetch the data from all data loggers automatically as soon he’s close to and transports the data like a data taxi
through the mine until we find we will finally find some Wi-Fi connection
and then those data will be transmitted to the superordinate system and the other can be visualized.
