Hi I’m Eppie Thompson and I run the embroidery kits business The Fabled Thread.
We make luxury embroidery kits all inspired by storytelling and folk art and all our designs are based on various world textiles.

I started the business in June 2020 after years of working in finance.
I started it because the embroidery was a wonderful stress reliever to my job in the city and I thought so many other people would enjoy it too.

Since then we’ve grown and we now sell a whole range of different kits,
for everyone to do from beginner, to experienced stitcher ranging from 30 pounds up to 200 pounds.

We do all the painting, frames and everything to go with them as well so you can stitch your story and create the full image with our kits from The Fabled Thread.
We have various different designs all based on different stories from Aesop’s Fables,
through to Rudyard Kipling’s Just So Stories, through to Nights at the Circus,
every single design has a little story behind it and some of my favorite stories are all captured within these.
