So, this is the booth of DAFO.

DAFO is 100 years old Swedish company.
And since 1970, we do fire protection systems for vehicle.
And since 1970, we do fire protection systems for vehicle.

So, we were one of the first companies, which are doing that professionally.

Since 2017, we equipped electrical vehicle with fire protection systems.

We’re working together with many OEM worldwide bus manufacturers but also manufacturers of heavy vehicle,

as vehicle for mining, for port equipment, public transport, forestry, and so on.

So what what do we have here?
Here we have our system for protection of electric vehicles.

We aim at the early detection because only when you detect a fire before the fire is actually a fact, you have a chance to beat it.

We use a firefighting liquid which is specially designed for batteries.

And as an early detection we use an CO sensor, which is developed specially for batteries, and automotive use.

We step in before the term runaway is a fact.
It means that when the fire is still in one cell, cell by in the mobile,

At that stage we still have the possibility to take out the fire.

Here, we have the control unit, which is the heart of the system which connect all the details in the system.

We have a CO sensor, two different kind of CO sensor.
CO sensors is even IP classified, IP65.

And we try to install those CO sensors inside the battery pack.

But we also can install it outside and for that reason we have IP classified CO sensor.

When we have different battery packs, of course, we won’t distribute our liquid to the battery pack in need.

So, for that we use a valve system.

It means the liquid will be distributed to the battery pack, by opening the valve.

We have an control unit, where we can release the system manually, if needed.

We can also do control if we get false information about possibly false functions,

in case the cable’s broken or something happened in the system.
