Hi i’m Walt Lindner I’m the North American president and CEO for Schiebel.
Schiebel is an Austrian-based company, we make a small UAV called the S-100 camcopter.

It’s manufactured in Vienna Austria.
The UAV carries 100 pounds of payload for over six hours.
It’s used by over 40 countries for a variety of missions anywhere from search and rescue to cargo transport.
We are at the Farnborough air show and we’ve had a great show this week and we’ve been able to showcase this this product to a variety of new customers and hopefully several more countries.
So the S-100 is used in a variety of situations and and for a variety of different reasons.
Again I’ve mentioned the search and rescue part of it but a lot of times where missions are too dangerous for for human beings.
It’s a good alternative.
Also there’s a cost benefit in many cases versus a manned helicopter.
For instance in a search and rescue mission the search aspect is the most expensive part of it.

The cam copter can fly at a lower cost per flight hour than the manned system.
So they’ll do the search with the cam copter and then do the rescue portion with the manned helicopter,
and it’s demonstrated I think in the picture behind me.
